Our Story On June 23rd, 2005, a pivotal moment unfolded in the office of A.A.C Adoption & Family Network in Berthoud, Colorado. Accompanied by my husband and our two young boys ages 6 and 7, we explored the possibility of adopting a girl. However, life took an unexpected turn when a call from my sister delivered distressing news: "MOM HAD A SEVERE STROKE AND SHE IS IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT." The stroke left her short-term memory and vision severely impaired. This marked the beginning of my journey into the world of home care.
